The kitchen is the center of the home.  Designing a kitchen is crucial to successful meals, easy dining, and comfortable living. The “kitchen triangle” is the the area between the sink, stove, and refrigerator. This is where the greatest activity happens, and therefore, the design of any kitchen should be planned carefully around the three points of the kitchen triangle.

The sink should have each access to the stove and refrigerator, and vice versa. The kitchen triangle is important in any space, experts recommend the sum of all the legs in a work triangle should not be less than 10 feet or greater than 25 feet.

If your triangle is too small, you’ll find yourself tripping over yourself.  If its too large food prep is exhausting.  Check out these 14 kitchen designs and how they incorporate the kitchen triangle and beautiful, unique elements.
