When the backpacks are on and the pencils are sharp, you know that fall is just around the corner. I love the fall season colors, soft textures, crisp cool air and cozy warm jackets.

I love everything about the falling leaves, apple pie, bright pumpkins, and everything in between. I just can’t get enough of the beautiful options for fall décor to bring a little bit of autumn to every room in your home.  I hope you enjoy this fall home tour guide, to inspire a little more fall in your home.
Entry:

There are literally thousands of ideas for creating a warm fall feeling in the entry way. I love to decorate my porch so that my guests feel immediately welcome before they even step in the door. I love a small table near the front door to add a little fall display as soon as you enter the home. This is also a great spot for candles or fragrant oils to give a fresh scent as soon as you come home. My favorite brand of candles is the Yankee candle company.  They produce a true smell and are long lasting.

Mantle:

For many, the mantle is the focal point of the room, so dress it up with touches of fall. I love using as many natural materials in the fall as possible. Filling a small jar with wheat, using small pumpkins, candles, and sprigs give a nice balance. Look for a variety of textures, height, and color in your mantle. Or break all the rules and go with an elegant, monochromatic look.dont-use-fall-2

Kitchen:

Just because the kitchen is the workhorse of the home doesn’t mean it has to go undecorated. Small areas of kitchen décor go a long way, like a decorative tray, pinecones, or candles. Larger décor like pumpkins, greenery, and baskets and sprays also look nice displayed above the cabinets.

Living Areas:

Small changes can make a big impact in a living area, like changing a bright teal pillow for a mustard yellow or burnt orange. You can add in cozy blankets and fall mums, pumpkins, or pinecones.  If you don’t have a lot of room, you can fill a simple basket or tray with some fall items that bring the beautiful colors of autumn inside.

Dining:

Whether you are a family who uses the dining table everyday, or it’s in the front room basically untouched most of the year, I love a little simple décor on the dining table. It doesn’t have to be fancy or extensive, but a little pop of fall at the family dining table brings the entire home together.
